In order to feel more comfortable with me, it might help to know a little more about me. I've lived and worked in Colorado my entire life. I grew up in Denver where my parents worked in real estate and construction related businesses. I sold real estate in Denver for 10 years between 1976 and 1986. (As you might have guessed, I've seen both boom and bust in the real estate market place.) I also owned, co-owned and operated several construction related businesses in the Denver area. In 1991, my wife and I decided to get out of the big city in order to enjoy a more relaxing pace of life. We moved to Montrose, Colorado with our young daughter. I then worked in communications and Information technology businesses until the fall of 2005 when I returned to Real Estate. My wife, Vi, is a teacher and our daughter, Mara, who's now grown, is a statistician with the census bureau.

Welcome! My name is Ann Staley and my family and I moved to the beautiful Montrose area 7 years ago where my husband Scott received a job at 94 Kix radio as a DJ. We have always wanted to live in Colorado and believe the western slope is the perfect place to raise our daughter Ashton. We love everything this wonderful community has to offer and Montrose has really become our home.

I love Real Estate and helping people through the process of buying and selling their homes. It is a personal, emotional and sometimes stressful process and every one has different wants and needs. I promise to listen and help make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. My clients become my friends so I am always honest, ethical and helpful so they can refer me to their friends and family with confidence. The Montrose area is a fantastic place to work, play and live! I should know...I was born and raised on a family farm west of Delta, just 20 miles north of Montrose. As a child I thought the Uncompahgre Valley and the surrounding mountains were the only place on earth.

My parents took our large family on many fishing, hunting and exploratory trips. Now as an adult, with every possible chance I am exploring the Western Slope of Colorado with my family. Who needs a "vacation" when you live here? We live in a paradise of mild weather and great sunshine, national and state parks, and 1,000's of acres of public lands here, which provide us with many uses. I enjoy helping people who come to live here. I know these new community members are going to be very happy here if they take advantage of all our area has to offer.

I am the youngest child of a family of 10 children. I come from the "salt of the earth" folks. My grandparents were immigrants; Mother's parents were "Germans from Russia" who have a history of their own. My Father's Mother was French and his Father was German. They were pioneers who came on covered wagons and helped shape this area. Their names are well known and recognized by locals.

My husband and I have 4 children, all grown. These fine people were and are our life's adventure. The oldest 2 are now married with children of their own. Our third child is living temporarily in St. Paul MN working in a chemistry lab. with goals of their own. It is a blessing to have children we love, but especially children we like and call our friends. Having grandchildren has been a wonderful blessing! I think grandchildren may be our greatest adventure! We sure are having fun!
